Childcare*

Riverside often organizes events where childcare is offered for the children of participants. Volunteers are needed so that we may reliably offer this service. If you are over 21 and have a love for children we would love it if you would consider serving in this area.

Children’s Sunday School*

Join us at Riverside Park where children from infants to sixth grade are taught God’s word. Would you like to join others in volunteering to serve our children’s needs, weekly, monthly or occasionally

Choir

Do you have a passion for worship? Do you love to sing? The choir provides a wonderful opportunity to sing, worship Christ and lead others in worshiping Christ. We need passionate voices for Christ every week and for special seasonal events like Easter and Christmas.

Church Technology

Technology continues to grow at Riverside. Each week volunteers operate our sound and projection systems that provide valuable support to the worship services. In addition, we have immediate needs for graphic design and web maintenance. If you have these technical skills or want to learn, let us know.

College and Career Outreach

Miami Dade College is right next door to our church facility. We want to connect with that community of students and share the Good News relationally. Would you like to help? This is a ministry of work and play.

El Tamarindo Mission Trips

Riverside organizes an annual Summer trip to a community in the Dominican Republic. Do you sense God inviting you to explore missions? This may be a challenging and rewarding opportunity of service for you.

Hospitality & Solace

As needed, we depend on each other to help organize church celebrations, meals and events and also to work supportively with those who are grieving. Let us know if God has gifted you in this area.

First Place 4 Health

First Place 4 Health invite you to discover a Christ-Centered healthy living and weight-loss program. Learn how to put Christ first in ALL the areas of your life. Creating balance in the four core areas of your life: emotional, mental, physical and most important spiritual, builds the whole person. The result? Weight loss and positive changes you can live with for the rest of your life.

Food Room

Increasing numbers of our neighbors need and benefit from the food we are able to package and distribute. We need volunteers to help sort and pack foods, pick up and unpack. Let us know if you would like to help.

Girls in Action*

This is a ministry among and with girls who are in first through sixth grade. They meet Wednesday evenings where they are taught about missions and Christ’s love. Volunteers are needed to help mentor and train these young ladies.

Greeters

We want visitors and everyone to feel welcomed when they enter the Riverside facility. An atmosphere conducive to corporate worship starts in the parking lot and continues throughout the facility. Would you like to extend a hand? Let us know.

Health Ministry

Sometimes we need to learn how to take better care of our bodies. Sometimes there may even be a health emergency during our services. Our health ministry helps to promote healthy habits, and also offer assistance to individuals if they have a health emergency while here at church. If you are a health professional we could use your help.

Heart and Hands

This is a ministry that prepare crafts for mission outreach. They gather one morning per week to make crafts and items that are used for outreach in missions, medical sites, prisons, and more. You are welcome to join us for a few hours of working fellowship, joining hearts and hands to work for the Kingdom.

Instrumentalists

If you play an instrument, please consider becoming a “weekend warrior” and offer your skills during our worship services. Instruments help to enhance our worship music as we celebrate the awesome wonder of our Lord.

Men’s Ministry

Our purpose is to disciple men to be fully devoted followers of Christ and to equip them to lead in their homes and the church. Join us for prayer, Bible Study, fellowship, support, and encouragement.

Mini Workdays

Once per month Riversiders volunteer to do minor maintenance and repairs around the facility. This helps to lower our maintenance costs and provides a wonderful fellowship opportunity. If you have handyman or gardening skills or just want to pitch in where needed, we’d love to hear from you.

Open Bible Study

For spiritual health and growth we all need to be part of a small group of fellow Christians who love and care for you for mutual growth in Christ. We encourage you to join one. Is God calling you to lead or facilitate such a group?

Operation Christmas Child

For several years now Riverside has added our energy with thousands of churches that put together shoeboxes of toys and school supplies for children all over the world. If you would like to help in this Christmas project, please let us know.

Preschool WOW* (Wednesday nights) 2 years old to kindergarten. It is never to early to learn about the love of Jesus. Do you enjoy spending time with children? Maybe God is calling you to this ministry.

Puppet Ministry/Outreach

No Strings Attached puppet ministry is an ongoing ministry that strives to share the gospel of Christ through the art of puppetry, mime, singing and comedy. We teach you the skills.

Royal Ambassadors*

This is a ministry among and with boys who are in first through sixth grade. They have the opportunity to learn about missions, Christian disciplines and outdoor skills. Volunteers are needed to help mentor and train these young boys.

Senior Adult Support

Riverside reaches out to senior adults in several ways. If you have a heart to help our seniors through fellowship, visitation, or just a helping hand we can help you serve in this way.

Singing Christmas Tree

The Singing Christmas Tree is a musical pageant sharing the Christmas story using drama, puppetry and music. Many volunteers are needed to serve as actors, singers, stage hands, construction crew, ticket sales, technical support, greeters, refreshments, and costuming. If one of these areas interest you, let us know.

Special Friends

This ministry offers an opportunity for families who have children with special needs to be able to leave their children in capable hands, while the family enjoys Bible Study and worship on Sunday mornings.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministers are trained to be companion listeners. This is a ministry available to those in our family of faith who are going through challenges and difficulties. Stephen Ministers walk alongside such persons and help them through their valleys. No one should have to struggle alone.

Vacation Bible School*

One week each summer we reach out to our neighborhood children - hundreds of them. During that week Riverside devotes itself to teaching these young lives biblical truths based on a chosen theme through song, crafts, games and worship. There are many opportunities for service. Join us!

Riverside members visit those who indicate an interest in our church. Would you like to be part of a team that goes out?

Welcome Center

We look for ways to let visitors know they are welcomed and loved at Riverside. We show hospitality - offer a cup of coffee and some pastries - and help them find their way around the facility. Would you like to join this team and extend a hand?

Youth Group/Student Ministry*

Our student program is staffed with adults who volunteer to build relationships with teens and college students. This is a great need in this community. Is God calling you to serve in this way?
